Dee Childers NOW SW Idaho

Dee Childers is the founder of Life Changes Elder Care Consulting, LLC, an Aging Life Care Manager®, as well as a certified care manager (CMC). She has a BS in Psychology from the University of Utah and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy.  

She started Life Changes Elder Care Consulting, LLC in 2012 when she and her sisters started experiencing the challenges of aging parents with cognitive impairment.  She was a court-ordered Guardian and Conservator, with experience with the legal and medical systems.  She recently published “Winning Strategies for Family Caregiving” with two colleagues.

Dee has over 30 years of experience in corporate America as a Human Resources Executive with extensive experience in interpersonal dynamics, crisis management, employee relations, compensation, employment, training and development, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Dee is a certified Elder Mediator, a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association, and a Death Café facilitator. She is a founding member and the current Vice President of LEARN Idaho.  Previously, Dee served on the board of directors for the Idaho Guardians and Fiduciary Association for five years and as the President for two years.  She has served on the board of directors for Friends in Action, the Justice Alliance for Vulnerable Adults (JAVA), Toastmasters, and several professional management associations.  Her first board position was at the age of 24 for the company management association.

She grew up in the 60s and 70s with a mother who was a leader in the women’s rights movement and a mover and shaker within the business community of Idaho Falls.  She is committed to retaining the hard-earned rights that women have achieved as well as advocating for those who are marginalized by our society.

Sandy Tregarthen NOW SW Idaho

Sandy Tregarthen is a 20+ year Boise resident, mother of two neurodivergent kids (one transgender), seasoned Senior Manager at Deloitte (global professional services firm), and NOW Super Trouper.

Over her 25+ years of professional experience, Sandy has served as Human Resources consultant helping companies adopt new, enterprise-wide technology suites, and as an internal Human Resource leader supporting Deloitte in forecasting and workforce planning. She’s known for her collaborative approach, her calming presence when faced with complex issues, and her ability to build high-performing, efficient teams.  Prior to joining Deloitte, Sandy earned a BA in Mathematics from University of California at Davis, and an MA in Mathematics from the University of California at Irvine.

Sandy joined the SW Idaho chapter of NOW in April 2024 and took over as Super Trouper Committee Chair 4 months later. Other recent volunteer roles include Girl Scout leader, soccer coach, cheer coach, Shadow Hills Elementary PTA president.

Outside of work, she enjoys supporting her kids’ extracurriculars, walking her dog, Brookie, exploring her hometown of Boise, cooking and discovering new cuisines, reading, and spending time with family in both Idaho and Los Angeles.

Sandy is excited to run for co-President with Dee Childers.  She’s passionate about gender equality and looking forward to combining her passion with her experience in organizing and team building to address the new and growing challenges facing women and our LGBTQIA+ community.
